Dunkin’ Donuts will be changing its name staring in January of 2019 to just Dunkin’ to compete directly with Starbucks, they are not getting ride of donuts luckily. Dunkin’ did state that they are doing this to expand on coffee and other drinking option they offer.   

Creating the separation from the donut exclusive, Dunkin’ will try to gain more market share in the coffee industry. This is target closely towards Gloria Jean’s Coffees, Starbucks, and McCafe.
